ごあいさつ
いしじま動物病院の院長、石嶋茂夫です。当院では「よりやさしく、より確実な治療」を理念とし、わんちゃんとご家族に寄り添った獣医医療を提供してまいりました。特にご相談の多い小型犬の橈尺骨骨折に対しては、手術に代わる安全で負担の少ない方法を追求し、独自の3Dギプス治療法を開発しました。
3Dギプス治療法について
当院で確立した「3Dギプス治療法」は、手術を行わずに体の自然治癒力を最大限に引き出す革新的な治療法です。8年間にわたって臨床応用と研究に取り組み、その成果として
- 骨折の治癒過程の可視化（レントゲン時系列）
- 年齢別に治癒日数を予測する大規模データ解析
という2つの大きな成果を得ることができました。現在、これらの研究成果は1本の統合論文として国際誌への再投稿を準備中です（プレプリントとして公開済み）。この研究により、“なぜ3Dギプスで治るのか” “どれくらいで治るのか”を科学的に説明できるようになりました。
感謝と今後について
多くの飼い主さま、そして多くのわんちゃんたちに支えられて、この治療法を発展させることができました。遠方からも3Dギプス治療を信じて来院くださる方が増え、心より感謝申し上げます。
これからも、「手術に頼らない、やさしい骨折治療」をさらに追求し、科学的根拠に基づく確実な獣医療を提供してまいります。

Greetings
My name is Shigeo Ishijima, DVM, Director of Ishijima Animal Hospital.Our mission is to provide gentler and more reliable veterinary care tailored to each dog and family.To offer a safer and less invasive alternative to surgery for radial–ulnar fractures in toy-breed dogs, we developed our original 3D Cast Fracture Treatment Method.
About the 3D Cast Method
The “3D Cast Fracture Treatment Method” is an innovative non-surgical approach designed to maximize the body’s natural healing power.Through eight years of continuous clinical application and research, we achieved two major scientific outcomes:
- Time-sequence visualization of fracture healing using serial radiographs
- A large-scale analysis enabling age-based prediction of healing duration
These findings are currently being integrated into a single comprehensive manuscript being prepared for resubmission to an international journal.

This research provides a scientific explanation for
how fractures heal with 3D cast therapy and how long healing is expected to take.
